“Man is a genius when he is dreaming.”
– Akira Kurosawa

My name is Brad Amos, and I’m an editor, producer and filmmaker.  50% of a movie is a black screen, waiting for your imagination to fill the void between frames.   For nearly 20 years, I’ve helped to shape that void, creating award-winning trailers, teasers, television commercials, web and social media ads for major motion picture campaigns and television shows in Los Angeles.

Having grown up in the “analog” 80’s, my passion for storytelling was founded on Saturday mornings and afternoon matinees.  I began by writing and directing theater in Memphis, and within a few short years was performing and directing in London.  After receiving my BFA, I returned to the US and refocused my work into shorter, recorded formats beginning with country music videos in the heart of Music City USA – Nashville, TN.

In 1999, I moved to Los Angeles to study film at Loyola Marymount University.   I wrote, directed and financed several successful, award-winning shorts.  While earning an MFA in Film, I split time behind the camera on set and inside edit bays of theatrical marketing houses. With a diverse foundation in writing, theater and film production, I soon found my approach to creative advertising had a unique place in a rapidly changing industry.

Since the year 2000, I have been cutting trailers and developing 360 out-of-the-box creative strategies as a senior editor and producer at some of Hollywood’s best known firms – Intralink Film, BLT Communications, Mark Woollen and Associates and mOcean.  I find the challenge of rendering themes and stories within the confines of an ad immensely rewarding.  I enjoy following a project from initial concept to final finish, working with inclusive teams of talented artists, and fostering a culture of collaboration, creative ambition, and dedication to craft.

Some favorite campaigns include The Man in the High Castle, Zero Dark Thirty, The Hobbit, The Dark Knight, Disney100 and The Sea Beast.
